TIMETABLE MORNING SESSION (starts 10:00am)
Welcome
and Introduction Presentation of first drafts Participants will bring along the first draft of a six minute Radio script they have already written. There will be a limit to the number of main speaking parts (4 characters), with the addition of minor speaking roles. Each script will be read through and timed. After each script has been read aloud, the group will discuss it along the following lines:
13:00 Lunch The pub in the village, The Kings Arms, does reasonably priced pub meals or sandwiches on Saturdays. On Sundays only meat meals are available, so if you are vegetarian or vegan you are advised to bring your own packed lunch to the Sunday workshop. Alternatively The Hope and Anchor pub, a mile and a half from Bowness offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available, free, during the workshop
AFTERNOON SESSION (starts 14:00)
Continuation of morning session, then participants write and polish the second draft of their script. Jim will see each writer individually to discuss their script with suggestions for the second draft.
6:45 Feedback session 17:00 Workshop ends
NB The reason for deciding on a six minute script is threefold:
